Position Overview
HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, FL on University Blvd is seeking a dedicated Patient Monitor Tech. In this role, you will play a vital part in patient care by monitoring cardiac rhythms, managing telemetry equipment, and ensuring that critical patient information is promptly communicated to healthcare staff. Key Responsibilities
- Observe for changes in heart rate, rhythm, or other centrally monitored parameters, reporting significant events to the nurse or Charge Nurse.
- Admit and discharge patients from the monitoring system.
- Maintain accurate telemetry transmitter monitor log books.
- Manage the inventory of telemetry transmitter monitors.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Specialty training specifically in EKGs is preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical setting is preferred.
