Job Description

Position Overview

PetSmart is seeking a strategic Brand Marketing Manager to develop, execute, and produce high-impact, integrated marketing campaigns and in-store experiences. Working within the Integrated Marketing team—and collaborating with Marketing, Creative, Communications, and Loyalty & CRM departments—this role offers the opportunity to connect deeply with pet parents, drive creativity, and deliver measurable business impact. The role is based at PetSmart’s Phoenix Home Office, offering a collaborative environment with in-person teamwork and flexible remote options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full funnel marketing campaigns from strategy and brief writing through production oversight, go-to-market execution, and post-campaign analysis.
  • Partner with operations and creative teams to manage the lifecycle of in-store activations for brand-led events, ensuring creative development and timely delivery of materials.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, channel partners, and external agencies to translate business needs into strategic campaigns.
  • Drive initiatives forward in a fast-paced, matrixed organization by overcoming challenges, ambiguity, and market obstacles.
  • Translate data and market research into actionable insights that inform campaign strategies and decision-making.
  • Own campaign milestones; develop presentations and reports for internal leadership and key partners, and attend shoots and events as needed (occasional travel required).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 3-5 years in marketing, advertising, communications, or content production.
  • Retail experience, preferably from in-house or agency roles.
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations.
  • Proven track record in leading integrated campaigns across channels including paid media, digital, social, and content, with a strong understanding of creative production processes.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and presentation skills with an analytical mindset to interpret data and optimize strategies.
  • Ability to build relationships and inspire cross-functional teams, with a sense of ownership, curiosity, and a growth mindset.
  • Experience partnering with external agencies and creative vendors.
