Position Overview

Entry Level Civil Engineer | NYC Public Infrastructure
MODERN Engineering is seeking an entry level Civil Engineer to support major public infrastructure projects across New York City. This role is well suited for a graduating senior or recent graduate interested in public sector and urban infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support civil design for roadway, utility, and drainage projects
• Prepare and update drawings using Micro Station and Open Roads
• Assist with plan development, markups, and revisions
• Support coordination with internal teams and external consultants
• Learn how large public agency projects progress from design to construction

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Graduating senior or recent graduate
• Internship or prior engineering experience preferred
• Basic CAD experience required; Micro Station or Open Roads a plus
• Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow technical skills
• Interest in public infrastructure and public agency work
