Vice President of Operations - Electric Utility Construction/ Energy infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking a Vice President to serve as the lead operating executive, with full accountability for company performance across operations, finance, HR, safety, and compliance. This role carries direct ownership of P&L performance and is responsible for driving profitability, financial discipline, and sustainable growth. A critical aspect of this position is building and leveraging strong relationships with leading Florida power and utility companies to expand market presence and secure new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute annual and long-term strategic plans
• Set operational goals and KPIs and ensure accountability
• Oversee all core functions including operations, finance, HR, safety, and compliance
• Implement scalable systems and processes to improve efficiency and performance
• Drive business development by securing new utility and contractor clients
• Expand service lines and geographic footprint
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of executive leadership experience in utility construction, energy infrastructure, or civil contracting
• Strong network with leading Florida power companies such as Florida Power & Light (FPL), Duke Energy, Tampa Electric (TECO), and similar regional utilities
• Proven experience managing large, multi-functional organizations
• Background working with or supporting major utility providers
• Strong knowledge of utility-related civil operations
• Demonstrated success in P&L management and strategic execution

• Compensation: Salary range: $175,000–$250,000, plus bonus eligibility
