Job Description
Position Overview
This full-time Mechanical Engineering position is responsible for expanding the company’s engineering breadth, developing high-quality CAD drawings, and maintaining strong client relationships. The role involves coordinating with various departments, performing engineering calculations, and ensuring that projects advance on schedule and within budget. The position offers a Compensation: $85,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year and operates on an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Expanding the company’s engineering breadth and growing and maintaining client relationships
- Collecting and preparing data/information and performing engineering calculations
- Producing CAD drawings that are consistent, complete, and accurate
- Developing technical specifications and data sheets
- Assisting in field work, installation checks, and problem solving activities
- Performing calculation checks and reviewing vendor drawings
- Coordinating with other departments and suppliers to obtain pertinent information
- Designing mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, cooling, exhaust, and specialty systems for commercial and public buildings
- Designing plumbing systems including gas, potable water, sanitary, sewer, fire suppression, and specialty systems for commercial and public buildings
- Consulting with project staff regarding resource availability
- Coordinating among all A/E disciplines on projects
- Ensuring project progress aligns with schedule and budget
- Assisting in the preparation of project reports for management and clients
- Providing technical advice and resolving project issues
- Coordinating project activities with government regulatory agencies
- Overseeing construction administration, shop drawings review, and responding to requests for information
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Science from an ABET accredited college or university
- Experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering
- Expertise in HVAC design for commercial, residential, or healthcare projects
- Revit proficiency
