Job Description

Position Overview

Medsien is a leading provider of Chronic Care Management and Remote Patient Monitoring services to medical practices across the United States. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to play a crucial role in assisting patients with enrollment into various healthcare programs. In this role, you will guide patients through the program enrollment process, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Enrollment: Guide patients through the enrollment process for healthcare programs, ensuring accurate and complete documentation.
  • Program Eligibility Assessment: Evaluate patient eligibility for specific healthcare programs based on provided criteria.
  • Patient Consultation: Conduct comprehensive consultations to gather necessary information and explain program benefits and requirements.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Accurately document patient information, enrollment details, and eligibility assessments.
  • Follow-Up and Coordination: Monitor enrollment progress, communicate with patients, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Patient Education: Provide clear explanations regarding the healthcare programs offered by Medsien.
  • Compliance and Privacy: Adhere to HIPAA and other privacy regulations while maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
  • Program Updates: Stay informed about changes and new offerings related to healthcare programs, and communicate these updates effectively.
  • Collaborative Approach: Work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other parties to ensure seamless patient enrollment.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified Medical Assistant: Possess an active certification as a Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution (e.g., NHA, AAMA, NCCT, NAHP).
  • Medical Terminology: Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
  • Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrated ability to interact with patients empathetically and thoughtfully.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in completing enrollment applications and documentation accurately.
  • Organization and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple enrollments, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ethical Conduct: Maintain professionalism, integrity, and high ethical standards when managing sensitive patient information.
  • Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
