Position Overview

A confidential UHNW Principal/Chairman is seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to serve as the strategic right hand and oversee all aspects of family office operations. This role supports the seamless execution of personal, financial, and philanthropic initiatives while ensuring the highest level of discretion, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. The Chief of Staff will manage complex projects across investment, estate, lifestyle, and governance domains, acting as the central point of coordination for the Principal/Chairman to ensure initiatives are executed with precision, confidentiality, and forward-thinking leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Coordination
    • Serve as the primary liaison between the Principal/Chairman and internal/external stakeholders.
    • Translate the Principal/Chairman’s vision into actionable plans with timely execution.
    • Oversee strategic projects, including investment initiatives, philanthropic programs, and business ventures.
  • Operational Oversight
    • Manage daily operations of the family office, including staff oversight and vendor management.
    • Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and regulatory requirements in coordination with external advisors.
    • Maintain systems for reporting, budgeting, and performance tracking.
  • Lifestyle & Estate Management
    • Coordinate travel, events, and personal logistics for the Principal/Chairman and family members.
    • Oversee property management, household staff, and luxury asset maintenance.
    • Uphold strict confidentiality and security protocols.
  • Financial & Investment Support
    • Partner with financial advisors, accountants, and legal teams to monitor investments and estate planning activities.
    • Prepare executive summaries and dashboards highlighting financial performance and strategic opportunities.
  • Philanthropy & Legacy Planning
    • Support charitable initiatives, foundation operations, and broader impact-driven projects.
    • Ensure alignment with the Principal/Chairman’s long-term values and legacy objectives.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in executive leadership, private wealth management, or family office operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong financial literacy with the ability to interpret complex reports.
  • High emotional intelligence and skilled handling of sensitive matters.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and adaptability in dynamic environments.
