Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce brand, is seeking a creative and strategic Senior Social Media Manager to lead their online community engagement and brand presence in St. Louis, Missouri, US. This role is pivotal in shaping our brand's voice across social platforms, driving engagement, and fostering a loyal customer base. You will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies that align with our overarching marketing and business objectives. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of various social media platforms, content creation, community management, and paid social advertising. You will be adept at crafting compelling content, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying trends to continuously optimize our social media efforts. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical rigor, and excellent communication skills to effectively manage our social media ecosystem. You will work closely with marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive brand message and exceptional customer experience across all touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with brand goals, product launches, and marketing campaigns.
  • Create, curate, and manage engaging and high-quality content across all relevant social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn).
  • Manage the social media content calendar, ensuring timely and consistent posting.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends, competitor activities, and relevant conversations.
  • Engage with our online community, responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and brand-appropriate manner.
  • Develop and execute paid social media advertising campaigns to increase reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., engagement rates, reach, impressions, click-through rates, conversions) and provide regular reports with actionable insights.
  • Identify opportunities for social media growth and optimization, proposing new strategies and tactics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, creative, product, customer support) to ensure brand consistency and integrated campaign execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with influencers and brand advocates.
  • Stay current with social media best practices, emerging platforms, and algorithm changes.
  • Manage social media crisis communications when necessary.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social media management, with a proven track record in managing social media for e-commerce brands.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing social media strategies that drive engagement and achieve business objectives.
  • Expert knowledge of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for organic and paid content.
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social) and analytics platforms.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and how social media integrates into the broader marketing mix.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing paid social campaigns with a strong understanding of targeting and optimization.
  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail and aesthetics.
