Job Description

Position Overview

As a Transportation Driver Manager, you’ll lead a designated fleet, ensuring drivers have the support, direction, and resources they need to deliver freight safely and on time. You’ll be the go-to point of contact for your team, navigating freight planning, compliance, customer communication, and real-time problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a fleet of drivers and ensure timely pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Monitor and maximize productivity, mileage, and hours of service (HOS) within legal and operational parameters.
  • Drive fleet efficiency by pre-planning loads and ensuring resource availability.
  • Partner with customers and vendors to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve freight challenges.
  • Ensure DOT compliance and enforce TCI’s safety and operational policies.
  • Cultivate strong driver relationships by delivering consistent communication and support.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years in a transportation driver management or dispatch role.
  • Proven leadership in fleet oversight, scheduling, and operational logistics.
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA compliance standards.
  • Sharp decision-making and analytical skills to optimize performance and resolve issues.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to balance the needs of drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to handle after-hours calls and occasional weekend/holiday duties.
