Position Overview

Flight Nurse - Aeromed 1 - Day (250004NM)
Under general supervision and following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, this role delivers nursing care to patients. The nurse plans and implements nursing care, documents assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring further intervention, formulates and communicates a goal-directed plan of care, and assures patient rights. All duties are performed in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital and principles of quality improvement.

Work Location: TGH Main Campus, 1 Tampa General Circle, Tampa, FL 33601
Schedule: Full-time | Shift: Variable | Job Type: On Site
Minimum Salary: $37.50/hr

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Plan and implement patient care and document nursing assessments.
• Identify and report situations that require further intervention.
• Formulate and communicate a goal-directed plan of care.
• Assure patients’ rights while adhering to Tampa General Hospital’s mission and quality improvement principles.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
• Minimum five years’ experience as an RN in Critical Care and/or Emergency Department.
• AHA ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
• Water egress course completion required within 1 year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Florida Paramedic certificate preferred or completion within 1 year of hire.
• NRP certification preferred or completion within 6 months of hire.
• Advanced Certification (e.g., CFRN, CCRN, CEN) as approved by the Aeromed Program Manager.
• Medical Director preferred or completion within 2 years of hire per Aeromed Program CAMTS Accreditation Standards.
• Advanced Trauma certification (such as ATLS audit or equivalent advanced trauma education) preferred.
