Position Overview
The Vice President of UF Health North provides strategic and operational leadership for the hospital, ensuring excellence in patient care, financial performance, quality outcomes, and community engagement. Working in close collaboration with service line and matrix leadership teams, the VP focuses on enhancing operational efficiency and driving sustainable growth. This role is pivotal in optimizing resource allocation, overseeing performance metrics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As the senior executive for the North campus, the VP is accountable for aligning operations with UF Health Jacksonville's mission, values, and enterprise-wide goals while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure excellence in patient care, financial performance, quality outcomes, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with service line and matrix leadership teams to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth.
- Develop and implement operational policies while overseeing performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and optimize resource allocation for improved service line effectiveness and customer experience.
- Align operational activities with UF Health Jacksonville's mission, values, and enterprise-wide goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or a related clinical field.
- Exceptional leadership skills in a large, complex healthcare system.
- Strong decision-making ability in multifaceted environments.
- Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills.
- Proven fiscal management expertise.
- Strong public relations and community engagement skills.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in healthcare with demonstrated success in hospital or system-level management.

- Budgetary Responsibility: Responsible for annual budget of $132 million (net revenue)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an academic medical center.
- Knowledge of construction project management and physician partnership negotiations.
