Position Overview

Miller Mechanical Specialties Inc., a manufacturer's representative partner of Endress+Hauser Inc., is seeking an ambitious Inside Sales Engineer to support their growing sales team in Minneapolis, MN. In this role, you will engage in application engineering, customer service, and sales while working from the Minneapolis offices. Extensive training in sales and process automation equipment is provided along with the opportunity to learn about diverse customer processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound customer calls for sales, service, and support
  • Work with customers to select and quote instrumentation and control equipment
  • Assist customers with technical questions
  • Support prospecting, mailings, and other activities aimed at achieving sales goals
  • Take and enter orders accurately
  • Document newly built systems with photos, drawings, and manuals
  • Assist in design and supervise construction of shop-fabricated systems
  • Assemble, service, and calibrate instruments and valves in the shop and in the field
  • Travel to selected sales meetings, customer sites, and product training sessions
  • Visit customer plant locations for startup and service work

Required Qualifications

  • Completion of an Engineering, AST, or Industrial Technology degree
  • Excellent communication skills and strong work ethic
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and balance many priorities effectively
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office software

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-time work experience
  • Experience in Inside Sales or Customer Service
  • Familiarity with AutoCad or similar software
