Position Overview

In this role, you will perform technical, administrative, control, and bookkeeping duties focused on reviewing approved assets prior to booking. You will ensure quality control by verifying that signed legal documents and loan inputs adhere to approved terms and conditions, while also serving as a back-up in the asset approval process. Key Responsibilities

  • Review loans and letters of credit input before approval in the system, ensuring that transactions meet the terms and conditions of the line of credit and legal documents.
  • Ensure loans comply with terms, correct rates (including proper cost of funds reflection), verified G/L, appropriate approvals, and accurate disbursal amounts.
  • Approve loan, investment, and letters of credit transactions in the absence of the AVP Loans & L/C Team Leader.
  • Monitor legal documentation, audit safekeeping, and follow up on pending documents for loans and lines of credit.
  • Assist with calculations, investigations, and respond to branch and customer inquiries.
  • Calculate figures and amounts such as interest on loans, discounts, commissions, averages, and percentages.
  • Prepare the Collateralized Based Lending daily report.
  • Provide information related to risk management, auditing, operations, and quality improvement as needed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to understand, speak (fluently), read, and write in both English and Spanish.
  • Compose routine reports and correspondence.
  • Multitask effectively and work under pressure.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Assume evolving duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Work all hours necessary to fulfill job duties, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Travel as required and provide coverage for other positions when requested.
  • Carry and lift boxes or objects weighing between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college.
  • Minimum of seven years of banking experience.
  • Proficiency in operating IBM-compatible personal computers, with fluency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite. Familiarity with E-IBS is a plus.
