The Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse- DPC RN is a licensed professional who demonstrates proficiency in assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership and service, delivering patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner while promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-family centered care in alignment with Baptist Health’s standards of quality, safety and service.
• Demonstrate core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associates degree in Nursing or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
• Licenses & Certifications: ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate, Registered Nurse, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
• Additional Qualifications: RNs hired prior to specific dates are not required to have a BSN for non-leadership roles; RNs with an Associate’s degree hired after the specified dates must complete the BSN degree within 3 years of hire; must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent; additional certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP or ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card) may be required as per department standards.
• Experience Required: 1-year working as a nurse in a hospital setting.
