Position Overview

The Medical Equipment Technician II provides cost-effective maintenance on company and customer‐owned equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, performing operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs under the guidance of a qualified Biomedical Equipment Technician or supervisor. This role is based in the Tampa District, Tampa, Florida.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on various medical devices such as medical beds, infusion pumps, and patient monitoring equipment.
- Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure thorough documentation for billing and regulatory compliance.
- Communicate with clinical staff regarding equipment features and functionality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in both movable medical equipment (MME) and patient handling equipment (PHE).
- Basic computer skills with an understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
- Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Demonstrated understanding of the requirements for servicing medical devices.
- Willingness to work flexible hours—including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours for 24/7 support.
- Willingness to travel periodically to meet business needs.
- Ability to lift and/or push up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching/squatting, kneeling/crawling, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
