Under immediate direction, the Dispatcher provides timely responses to customer inquiries regarding pick-ups, schedules, product orders, and other customer needs. The role involves dispatching vehicles on pre-set routes daily to ensure efficient service.
Salary: $20.84 per hour
Schedule: Monday thru Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Start time: 9:00 AM, OT Available)
Location: 5169 W 12th St. Jacksonville, FL 32254
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Customer Service with customer requests (SFDC cases), route changes, and rescheduling for pickups/missed stops.
- Provide the highest level of customer service in line with Customer 1st objectives.
- Monitor, process, and escalate SFDC cases to the supervisor.
- Assist walk-in customers.
- Help drivers with issues as they arise during or at the end of routes.
- Review driver paperwork and file documentation appropriately.
- Review and update routes, add new customers based on daily communications, and reroute existing customers as needed.
- Ensure that routes are balanced daily.
- Assist the Transportation Supervisor/Manager as directed.
- Update SAP data and notes.
- Communicate performance standards and objectives.
- Keep staff informed of current issues, changes, and new developments through organized, participative meetings.
- Maintain a safe and compliant workplace at all times.
- In the absence of a manager/supervisor, monitor employee performance for safety and productivity, recommending changes when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience Required: 2+ years’ experience, preferably in Transportation, Logistics, Routing, and Customer Service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
