Job Description
Position Overview
This position is primarily responsible for providing technical expertise related to Automated People Mover (APM) systems and subsystems within Railway Transportation. The role involves troubleshooting and developing solutions for complex system challenges, overseeing spare parts and consumable management, updating Operations and Maintenance manuals, and delivering technical training. Compensation: 95-103K with a 5% bonus, working Mon-Friday on the first shift at the Miami location. Relocation is available.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide oversight for all technical issues related to sites and new projects for the APM rail systems and subsystems.
- Perform failure analysis on APM systems and subsystems, review failure reports, identify trends, and develop corrective processes.
- Coordinate with Engineering staff to resolve technical issues, update documentation, and maintain consistency.
- Manage the technical interface for timely communication of updates to staff.
- Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and Engineering to develop project proposals, schedules, and Operations & Maintenance plans.
- Update Operations and Maintenance manuals, SOPs, and related documents ensuring timely revisions.
- Provide technical training on APM subsystems and facilitate additional training as procedures change.
- Oversee maintenance work quality, schedule, and budget while managing spare parts and consumables procurement.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: This position includes supervisory oversight of technical staff.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of the annual budget for spare parts and equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with APM systems or related guided transportation, industrial automation, or controls-based industries.
- Proficient in interpreting detailed drawings, precision measuring instruments, and electromechanical equipment.
- Proven experience in project management and/or quality control.
- Must be licensed to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to secure and maintain airport security clearance and pass post-offer criminal background check.
- Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or equivalent experience. (A copy of the acquired degree or certification is required upon employment.)
