Store Cashier - Full Time

Position Overview

Hourly Compensation: $16.00

Key Responsibilities

• Greet each customer with a courteous, friendly, and professional attitude.
• Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate customer service at all times.
• Direct customers to the proper area and offer general information as needed.
• Ring up all sales transactions, complete sales, and ensure proper change and receipts.
• Follow all policies and procedures for cash, check, charge card transactions, voids, gift cards, and the Change Round Up program.
• Maintain a clean and orderly register area.
• Answer telephone calls promptly following established etiquette procedures.
• Assist sales floor employees with stocking and recovery.

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Basic computer skills with beginner knowledge of touch screen cash registers.
• Capable of standing and walking for long periods; able to stoop, bend, kneel, push, and pull as necessary.
• Possess good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception) for the role.
• Work in a moderately noisy environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous retail and/or cashiering experience is highly preferred.
• High School education or equivalent is preferred.
