Position Overview

EP Wealth Advisors (EPWA) is a leading wealth management firm overseeing more than $36.4 billion in assets under management (as of June 30, 2025). We are currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with advisors to develop tailored, comprehensive financial plans, manage and analyze spreadsheets, handle data entry, and assist in preparing and leading client seminars. Additional responsibilities include supporting advisor training and providing direct assistance to the Financial Planning Director. Compensation: $93,000 - $125,000 plus annual bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with advisors on clients with assets under management of $2 million or more; consult with the Financial Planning Manager for clients with assets of $5 million and more complex financial plans.
  • Collect data for financial planning via client questionnaire, clarify and verify client responses, and enter data into the financial planning system.
  • Utilize financial planning software to generate financial plans and review them with Financial Advisors.
  • Generate specific action plans for clients based on recommendations made in their financial plan.
  • Create, review, and enter data into spreadsheets to analyze financial planning and/or business planning issues.
  • Collaborate with the financial planning team to assess and enhance existing software systems to maximize opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Operations and IT for software enhancements, new system development, and deployment.
  • Work with the Marketing department to review and edit public materials.
  • Conduct research as required by the Director of Financial Planning.
  • Teach the nuances of the firm’s culture and sales process during training sessions.
  • Conduct financial planning seminars for clients, centers of influence, and local branches.
  • Assist the Director in M&A efforts involving training and integration.
  • Assist in training newly hired staff in both the planning department and advisor sector.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • CFP Designation required
  • Knowledge of financial planning software such as eMoney (required); Money Guide Pro and Holistiplan are highly preferred
  • 3-7 years’ experience in financial services or a related field (client-facing experience is a plus)
  • Undergraduate degree required; preferably in a business-related major
  • Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in organizing and presenting data; strong computer skills, particularly in Excel (programming skills are a plus)
