Position Overview
As Delve’s Client Partner, you will own client success across your MedTech focused portfolio. You will build and deepen trusted relationships, partner with our innovation teams, and stay accountable for delivering high-quality, profitable work. You will lead innovation programs, while supporting projects end-to-end, serving as a strategic advisor and clear escalation point when needed. You will bring energy and follow‐through from kickoff to close, ensuring outcomes align with what Delve and our clients set out to achieve. In this farmer role, you will partner with our hunters (Account Directors) and Project Managers to deliver results against Delve’s strategic goals while collaborating with functional experts and department leaders to elevate project teams through mentorship and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Executive Leadership to develop and execute a successful go-to-market strategy with a focus on your geographic market.
- Build upon the existing client-base to establish a portfolio that delivers both recurring revenue and sustained year-over-year growth.
- Take an active role in the sales process; shaping solution definition, crafting and presenting compelling proposals, and shaping scope and budget estimates in partnership with Account Directors, Program Managers, and Functional Experts.
- Guide MedTech client engagements through regulated product development contexts, ensuring alignment with design controls, risk management, clinical considerations, and applicable regulatory requirements throughout the lifecycle.
- Create and execute strategic plans to extend and expand high-potential client relationships in partnership with Account Director(s).
- Build relationships with key client executives, positioning Delve as a trusted advisor for both strategic and executional programs.
- Be an active member in the broader Product Design and Engineering community; author and share thought leadership and participate in industry events.
- Serve as a strategic partner to Delve’s clients, advocating for their needs and expectations at both the program and project levels.
- Develop an understanding of the client’s broader business context and strategic priorities to ensure alignment with engagement goals.
- Ensure smooth transition from the sales process to project delivery, maintaining alignment on vision, scope, budget, and client expectations.
- Advise Project Managers and the broader team in identifying and managing risks while developing mitigation strategies.
- Support project teams by being available to provide guidance that enhances effectiveness, quality of work, and team morale.
- Contribute to internal kickoffs to ensure a clear understanding of project vision, scope, and role expectations.
- Monitor projects alongside PMs to identify risks and opportunities, safeguarding team performance and project quality.
- Coach, mentor, and advise project team members in conjunction with department and practice area leaders.
- Build a client portfolio within the Studio’s market that meets both growth and profitability targets.
- Support PMs and Account Directors in ensuring project profitability by addressing issues, managing scope and budgets, and securing change orders when necessary.
- Provide partnership, support, advice, and serve as an escalation path for navigating project finances.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in design consulting or a related industry, with a proven track record of successful leadership.
- Proven ability to build profitable, growing client portfolios through successful business development and execution.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with MedTech clients in regulated product development environments, with familiarity to FDA and global regulatory pathways (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485), clinical considerations, and design controls throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong business acumen with expertise in financial management and strategic planning.
- Experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary teams and maintaining robust client relationships.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
