Job Description
Position Overview
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role you will be paired with experienced engineers to work closely with C2BMC Operational ISSOs and support Operational eMASS packages managed by the Assessment and Authorization team. You will assist with cyber product analysis, vulnerability assessment, and POA&M management while ensuring systems meet and maintain the required STIG baselines prior to operational testing and release. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO, is 100% onsite, and requires US Citizenship along with the ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret level).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with C2BMC Operational ISSOs and system owners in support of eMASS authorization packages.
- Assist with cyber product analysis, vulnerability assessments, and POA&M management.
- Ensure developed systems attain and maintain appropriate STIG baselines.
- Support technical documentation rotation and provide surge support for authorization packages.
- Track engineering responses for system POA&Ms and assist with vulnerability assessments in development work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Cyber Operations, or a related field.
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance (Secret level).
- Knowledge of cyber capabilities such as patch management, configuration compliance (e.g. STIGs, SRGs), multi-factor authentication, host-based security, intrusion detection, security event management, and defense-in-depth strategies.
- Familiarity with A&A packages for RMF Authority to Operate (ATOs) and experience hardening Windows and Linux environments.
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Active DoD 8570 IAT II certification (e.g., Security+).
- Entry-level security engineering skills with fundamental knowledge of Information Assurance technologies.
- Familiarity with NIST standards, DoDI 8500.1, RMF security controls, and the Agile Development Lifecycle.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present technical cyber issues effectively.

- Compensation: Annual base salary range from $68,000 - $119,830, depending on the candidate’s final work location and other considerations.
