Position Overview
ANAX Business Technology is seeking a "Tier 1.5 - 2" Network Technician to join our dynamic IT team in the fast-paced SMB segment. Day-to-day, you will work with a wide variety of technologies and clients in industries from legal to veterinary medicine, providing ample opportunity to excel and experience a wide range of innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-class customer service to a wide variety of clients
- Implement and manage the various components of SMB client networks from mice to SANs and everything in between
- Troubleshoot unique and challenging technical issues
- Maintain servers (virtual and physical) as well as backups, infrastructure and most importantly: client relationships
Required Qualifications
- A professional demeanor, clean appearance and a keen understanding of “customer service”
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Satisfactory written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals
- One to two years of technical support experience for PCs, servers, and/or network infrastructure, including deployment or maintenance of Microsoft technologies such as Windows client OS, Windows Server OS (User administration or better), and Microsoft 365 (Mailbox administration or better)
- Understanding of NAT, basic routing, and experience with port forwarding on SMB routers/firewalls
- Microsoft Certification or the ability to complete certification within 90 days
- Reliable transportation capable of traveling between Sunrise Mountain and the Pahrump Valley
Preferred Qualifications
- Any IT certification including (but not limited to) CompTia A+/Network+ (or higher) or MCP (or higher)
- Experience with the Apple ecosystem – iPhone, iPad, and iMac
- Experience implementing and maintaining business-grade backup solutions
- Experience with VMware products
- Experience implementing and managing SIP-based phone systems
- Experience with account management and client relations
- Experience working with technology in the legal vertical
- Background in a customer service oriented position
