Job Description

Position Overview

School of Rock is the original performance-based music school, combining one-on-one lessons with group rehearsals and live performances to create an immersive music education experience. With a focus on inspiring students through rock music and building the next generation of musicians and creative thinkers, our Local Marketing Coordinator in Tucson, AZ will build brand awareness, drive student enrollment, support events, and foster community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local Marketing Execution:
    • Plan, coordinate, and execute grassroots marketing campaigns to promote School of Rock and drive student leads.
    • Develop and distribute marketing collateral for the Tucson area and support digital marketing efforts across social media, email, and the website.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Establish and maintain partnerships with local schools, businesses, community centers, and music venues.
    • Attend and represent the school at community events, fairs, and concerts to build awareness and collect leads.
    • Organize and promote local events such as open houses, student showcases, and seasonal concerts.
  • Lead Generation & Data Management:
    • Track and report on marketing initiatives and lead generation performance.
    • Assist with CRM data entry and coordination of lead follow-up as necessary.
  • Creative Input:
    • Help develop engaging, brand-aligned content for students and parents.
    • Provide local insights to enhance broader marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field (experience in music/education a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of the Tucson area and local community culture.
  • Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and comfortable engaging with people of all ages.
  • A passion for music and/or music education is strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.
