Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design management to gain experience, enhance design skills, and deepen knowledge of Nike’s design philosophy, products, and processes.
- Partner with category team members in design, development, and merchandising to ensure designs meet price points, merchandising needs, and production timelines.
- Report to the Director, NSW Energy Footwear Product Design.
- Develop footwear designs that push the boundaries of sports and culture while balancing performance, sustainability, and cost.
- Engage in research, insight gathering, problem solving around performance and manufacturing, and participate in both informal and formal project reviews.
- Collaborate with innovation partners and consumers to refine and present design concepts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field. (Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.)
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear and related products.
- Ability to apply design skills such as drawing/sketching, ideation, visual presentation development, and layout.
- Passion for Culture, Music, Art, Sneakers, and Streetwear.
- Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- Must be able to create accurate 2D technical drawings (tech packs).
- Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
- Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project.
- Experience with presentation programs: Keynote, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
- Positive personality, energy, and the ability to align with a shared team culture.

Preferred Qualifications
- Cobbling and prototyping skills.
- 3D knowledge and AI experience.
- Experience in technical footwear design.
- Experience with 3D design programs.
