Job Description

Position Overview

Position: Registered Nurse - Infusion Center - Days
Compensation: Hourly Pay Range: $36.00 - $55.80 (determined by expertise and years of experience)

Location:

Northwest Community Hospital - Infusion Center, 3060 W Salt Creek Ln, Arlington Heights, IL 60005

Schedule:

Part Time (24 hours/week), Monday-Friday 8am - 4:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays, with occasional travel to the May float Niles Infusion Clinic.

A Brief Overview: The Staff Nurse delivers safe and compassionate care to all patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care. Collaboration with nurses, physicians, and other clinical team members ensures optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate the plan of care with appropriate interventions to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Assess patients, collect health data, and communicate findings to the physician and interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide individualized patient and family education based on thorough assessments, addressing disease management and emergency care.
  • Identify community resources to support patient self-management and optimal outcomes.
  • Assist technical staff with injections, venipuncture, drug administration, oxygen therapy, and IV management.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, nursing research, and clinical education initiatives.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and assist in transporting acutely ill patients when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • At least 1 year of experience in ICU, ER, radiology, or wound/ostomy nursing
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wound/ostomy care
  • Successful completion of a Wound Ostomy Associate class
  • Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON) certification
