Position Overview

The Inventory Associate is responsible for physically counting inventory using specialized equipment for retail clients across various locations and accurately entering information into WIS systems. Starting Wage: $17.00 - $22.00

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve established average per hour (APH) counting goals while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Communicate information clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, to foster cooperation.
  • Create partnerships and instill trust through demonstrated expertise.
  • Take initiative to explore and suggest new approaches to enhance quality and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead by example and consistently demonstrate the core SPIRIT values of Service, Pride, Integrity, Results, Innovation, and Teamwork.
  • Work primarily with a single customer in the home improvement segment while traveling weekly to various customer locations.
  • Count and record inventory with precision, following a clear, consistent workflow.
  • Meet daily performance goals and strive for productivity-based wage increases.
  • Uphold a positive culture and serve as the face of the organization, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment Investigative Consumer Report in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain active during shifts; frequently work in low-level positions (squatting, kneeling, or crouching).
  • Capability to lift and carry items up to 25 lbs and to travel regularly (including occasional overnight stays up to 4 days a week).
  • Comfortable learning and operating handheld scanners or counting equipment.
  • Strong focus, attention to detail, and reliable attendance.
  • Experience in Retail, Stock, Customer Service, Cash Handling, Sales, Driver, or Warehouse work is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior teamwork experience in a customer service setting.
  • Prior teamwork experience in an inventory and/or retail setting.
