Position Overview
Dascena is a health tech start-up located in downtown Oakland. We have developed and implemented predictive machine learning algorithms in hospitals to detect deadly conditions and improve care outcomes. We are also exploring other applications of our technology in the pharmaceutical world and beyond. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as we build and transform our company. You will be responsible for integrating our products with new hospital systems, ensuring high quality data collection from complex electronic health record systems. You will use a custom Python-based macro system and develop HTML, text, and OCR parsers to interface with it. OCR and web-scraping experience required. Location: Remote; Oakland, CA office presence is not required. Please submit a Cover Letter outlining your experience with the required qualifications above.
Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
- Scripting Languages: Python
- Scripting & Automation Deliverables: Web Scraping
- Experience with Tesseract OCR
- Keen interest in healthcare technology
