Position Overview

The Senior Director, Digital Acceleration & Brand Growth Marketing leads the evolution of the Goodwill® brand for a digital-first world. This role is responsible for advancing how the Goodwill brand is experienced, discovered, and activated across digital channels with the goal of driving brand relevance, measurable growth, and local impact at scale. In this role, you will set and execute a multi-year, digital-first brand growth strategy for Goodwill Industries International (GII) and the Goodwill member network, developing integrated digital marketing systems that strengthen brand equity and drive performance outcomes. You will identify emerging platforms and technologies, translate innovation into practical playbooks, and work closely with internal teams, executive leadership, member organizations, and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital-First Brand Strategy – Develop and lead enterprise-level, digital-first brand growth strategies aligned to GII’s business and mission objectives. Shape how the Goodwill brand is experienced across owned, paid, earned, and emerging digital platforms.
  • Digital Innovation – Develop and optimize end-to-end digital marketing journeys that drive awareness, engagement, loyalty, and action.
  • Performance & Consumer Journey Delivery – Lead performance marketing strategies in partnership with the analytics team, ensuring insights inform optimization and investment decisions. Champion experimentation and scalable innovation across platforms and channels.
  • Emerging Platforms & AI Enablement – Identify emerging platforms and technologies, translating innovation into actionable guidance (playbooks, pilots, toolkits) for the member network, while advancing responsible AI adoption across marketing workflows.
  • Network Enablement & Mobilization – Act as a strategic partner to Goodwill member organizations, providing leadership and best practices to drive digital marketing maturity and local execution.
  • Leadership, Collaboration & Measurement – Lead high-performing teams across digital, brand, creative, and innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate performance through clear KPIs and executive-level reporting.
  • Brand Stewardship and Protection – Partner with Legal to safeguard Goodwill’s intellectual property, manage compliance implications, and address evolving risks tied to digital and AI-enabled marketing.

Required Qualifications

  • Advanced digital marketing fluency across brand, performance marketing, marketing platforms, and customer journey design.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, digital ecosystems, and emerging marketing models.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate innovation into scalable best practices and systems.
  • Proven experience driving data-informed decision-making and performance measurement.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, align, and mobilize teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in digital marketing, brand strategy, or growth marketing roles, including at least 5 years in senior leadership positions.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is required.

  • MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
