Global Supply Manager- Logistics

Position Overview

In this role within our progressive procurement organization, you will think outside the box to drive value and shape supplier partnerships. Working closely with the xAI Logistics organization, you will support indirect supplier management and SG&A spend reduction initiatives through robust project, risk, contract, and stakeholder management. Your efforts will directly influence cost control, risk mitigation, and improved customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management – Identify and execute projects from planning through to completion by coordinating with stakeholders and communicating progress updates.
• Risk Management – Analyze global supply chain dynamics and market volatility to develop procurement strategies that balance cost and risk through multi-sourcing and diversification.
• Contract Management – Assist in drafting contract documents, ensure supplier adherence to contractual obligations, and interpret terms creatively to meet business needs.
• Negotiations – Negotiate agreements to maximize value and achieve cost savings while mitigating risks.
• Supplier Management – Oversee preferred supplier relationships, work with internal teams to identify areas for improvement, and implement programs to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Stakeholder Management – Cultivate partnerships with internal groups such as Logistics and Finance, and advocate for procurement strategies that align with spend initiatives.
• Analysis – Conduct advanced quantitative analysis to assess financial impacts, benchmark market conditions, and develop models to improve cost efficiencies, including defining SLAs and KPIs.

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree and 4+ years of experience in purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling; or a bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience; or 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Experience in purchasing, contract negotiation, material or production planning, operations or supply chain management, material cost control, or master production scheduling.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a science discipline.
• Deep understanding of transportation processes for inbound freight including air, sea, and land logistics.
• Experience with carrier cost models, including parcel couriers, freight forwarders, and freight brokers.
• Familiarity with logistics technology tools such as Advance Shipment Notice (ASN) and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Understanding of integrated courier operations and the ability to negotiate and drive change in supplier relationships.
• Experience within the APAC markets.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, data mining, data structures, or programming.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong emotional intelligence.
• 1+ years of experience with SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.

• Salary: $125,000 - $180,000 per year
