The BD & Marketing Manager plays a key role in supporting the business development and marketing priorities of the assigned practice group. Working closely with practice group leaders and team members across the firm, this individual drives client-focused initiatives, coordinates campaigns, and develops high-quality materials while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Location: New York, Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Miami, Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Short Hills, Washington DC, or Wilmington
Schedule: Hybrid work schedule

Key Responsibilities

  • Support practice group and subgroup leaders in executing BD and marketing initiatives and tracking progress against priorities.
  • Monitor market developments to identify opportunities for go-to-market strategies, client outreach, and thought leadership.
  • Develop an understanding of the practice group’s strengths to support client-facing materials and strategic positioning.
  • Coordinate with senior team members on practice-specific campaigns and projects, including pitch and proposal development.
  • Utilize business intelligence and CRM tools for client targeting, lead tracking, and managing business development pipelines.
  • Collaborate with communications, marketing, and cross-functional teams to support integration and promotional campaigns.
  • Assist with event planning, sponsorships, budget tracking, and reporting to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Contribute to department-wide initiatives such as onboarding, CRM adoption, and experience management.
  • Support recruiting and integration teams during the BD onboarding of new hires.
  • Stay current on marketing technologies and propose ideas to improve efficiency and impact.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • Experience Required: 5 years of sales/marketing experience in a professional services environment
  • Proven track record in law firm or professional services marketing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong writing, editing, and presentation abilities.
  • Skilled in project coordination with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with CRM platforms and marketing technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with litigation or disputes practices and an understanding of the associated business drivers and client expectations.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional projects related to CRM, client onboarding, and lateral integration.

Benefits & Perks

  • Compensation: $129,808 - $197,799 per year (depending on geographic market and candidate’s qualifications)
