Job Description
Position Overview
Jabil is seeking a Technical Supply Chain Manager to work in our St. Petersburg, FL location, with consideration also being given to candidates in Memphis, TN. In this role, you will manage the supplier selection process and part validation for Design, NPI, and Risk/Cost Reduction, while leveraging Jabil’s Supply Chain and Sourcing organizations, tools, templates, and processes to ensure proper component deployment.

Key Responsibilities
- Accountable for BOM pricing as it evolves through each design and mass production milestone.
- Responsible for resolving cost differences and addressing supply chain impacts due to BOM changes, design shifts, and scope changes, including providing detailed explanations for any unresolved issues.
- Solicits and coordinates supplier Design for Manufacturability (DFM) recommendations and interprets supplier feedback to provide clear guidance on product and/or process optimization.
- Manages the supplier selection process in alignment with commodity management.
- Accountable for supplier negotiations and risk mitigation as required.
- Provides guidance to buyers and maintains clean-to-build part status during all design phases.
- Drives Early Supplier Involvement and develops supply chain strategy for components identified as Jabil’s ownership.
- Guides the qualification process of components and suppliers, including DFM, FOT, PPAP, and APQP.
- Leads the purchasing organization through short-term/high-risk quality issues, line down constraints, and supplier negotiations.
- Leads identification and deployment of process improvements within Jabil.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Experience Required: At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong knowledge of Engineering and Supply Chain.
- Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in manufacturing processes, technical process and drawing analysis (design for manufacturing), supplier audits, adaptability to changing project requirements, and the ability to support multiple projects (with potential indirect reports).

- Qualifications: MBA preferred with experience in Supply Chain being an asset.
