At HSNT, our bilingual Certified Medical Assistants have a direct impact on patients’ lives by delivering care to patients and families with limited medical options.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist medical providers with exams and procedures
- Triages phone calls and messages
- Prepare patients for exams and take vital signs
- Perform routine screening tests, procedures, and administer injections
- Fill out appropriate paperwork for each patient visit
- Maintain compliance with required reporting, HIPAA, and HSNT standards
- Maintain adequate clinical supplies and equipment to ensure uninterrupted patient care
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of a medical assistant program
- Active certification as a medical assistant is strongly preferred or must be secured within 60 days of employment
- Prior experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in a clinical setting
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude in high-pressure situations
- Bilingual English/Spanish is strongly preferred
- Available to travel between sites as needed
