Manufacturing Packer

Position Overview

This ENTRY LEVEL position is responsible for inspecting, stacking and moving finished product from packing tables, bags the product and then places the bag on the conveyor system for removal.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs work in a safe manner to assure protection of self and others.
• Becomes familiar with department safety equipment, rules and their necessity.
• Manually removes all trays from the packing table in the prescribed manner.
• Is knowledgeable of tray quality and discards sub-quality trays.
• Informs the Lead Operator or Supervisor of any noticeable change in quality.
• Maintains an accurate count of bags packed.
• Maintains an accurate tray count per bag.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience Required: Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, proficient mathematical skills, ability to systematically work through problems, and ability to work with deadlines individually or as part of a team.
• Requirements: Must pass a Background Screening.
