Job Description
Position Overview
At University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians), our RN - Infusion plays a critical role in delivering independent nursing care and delegated medical functions in the ambulatory setting. You will assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care while coordinating delegated patient care as part of a respected team, contributing to a pioneering Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) program with over 40 years of expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
- Implements nursing interventions based on the plan of care.
- Evaluates care and monitors the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Delivers care as delegated by the physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patients.
- Performs additional duties as determined by the manager and clinic needs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Registered Nurse license.
- Current national certification depending on area of specialty or the ability to obtain one within 18 months (or prorated for FTE appointment, if applicable).
- Maintain Oncology Nursing Society’s ONS Provider Card or obtain one within 30 days of start date (if applicable).
- Maintain American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
- Specific experience requirements may vary based on the scope of care, practice, or service setting.
