Position Overview
Altech is a provider of IT support and associated services on the NASA - Advanced Enterprise Global Information Technology Solutions (AEGIS). At this time, we are seeking a motivatedJunior Azure Cloud Engineer(Systems Engineer Level 1) to join our cloud infrastructure team. This role is remote (within 50 miles of a NASA Center) and offers aCompensation:of70-75Kfor candidates with entry-level experience (1-2 years). Clearance required:Public Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of Azure cloud infrastructure
- Configure and manage Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, identity services)
- Support cloud performance monitoring and cost optimization
- Develop automation scripts using Azure Automation, PowerShell, or Azure CLI
- Assist with cloud security implementation (IAM, Azure Security Center, Sentinel)
- Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues (network, compute, storage, security)
- Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Maintain documentation and assist with reports on performance and security
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Basic knowledge of Azure services and resources
- Hands-on experience with cloud automation tools (Azure Automation, PowerShell, Azure CLI)
- Familiarity with cloud security concepts (IAM, encryption, network security)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, VPNs, load balancing)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Must reside within 50 miles of one of the following NASA locations:

- Independent Verification and Validation Facility: Fairmont, West Virginia

Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL v3/v4 certification
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator Associate
