Marketing and Business Development Intern

Position Overview

Varada Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated intern to join our dynamic Marketing and Business Development teams. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to gain hands‐on experience in content creation, communications, and operational support within a fast-paced defense tech company.

Key Responsibilities

• Marketing Support
  • Upload blog and news content to our website via WordPress
  • Assist with basic graphic design tasks using Canva
  • Draft and schedule engaging social media posts
  • Help maintain and update the content calendar
  • Quality assure and organize email nurture sequences using Mailchimp or HubSpot
  • Manage marketing files, images, and presentations in SharePoint
  • Participate in weekly check-ins with the Marketing Director
  • Track opportunities for demos and events
• Business Development Support
  • Organize and manage files within SharePoint folders
  • Format and maintain the proposal content library
  • Apply naming conventions and update outdated materials
  • Provide general administrative assistance to the BD team as needed

Required Qualifications

• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Familiarity with Canva and WordPress, or basic experience with email platforms (Adobe Illustrator is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Highly organized and comfortable with managing shared calendars and documents
• Interest in national security, defense, or government innovation is a plus
• Proactive, curious, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
