PC Technician

Position Overview

Workstation PC Technician role at Artech – the 10th Largest IT Staffing Company in the US (based on Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2012 report) – located in Honolulu, HI for 6+ months. In this role, you will support a robust Microsoft-based network running XP, Windows 7 and Lotus Notes, and work with servers, PCs, MACs, and laptops to ensure smooth IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support a robust Microsoft-based network running XP, Windows 7, and Lotus Notes.
• Provide expertise in server, PC, MAC, and laptop support.
• Receive assets, move equipment between facilities, and stage equipment for build/image activity.
• Interview clients as part of pre-deployment asset discovery and to identify special considerations.
• Execute equipment replacement activity and update the asset management system.
• Monitor daily activity including system backups, data recovery, and network troubleshooting.
• Install, maintain, and repair PC hardware and software while troubleshooting issues independently.
• Manage incoming and outgoing assets; prepare systems for deployment and scan assets for applications and settings.
• Collaborate with teammates to identify process improvements, escalate issues promptly, and assist other technicians as needed.
• Perform other related administrative duties and, as required, transport equipment between facilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with PC support, including deployment.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with PC hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with direct client interaction.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Adaptable to change in process or required activities.
• Attention to detail and a quick learner.
• Maintain professional appearance and behavior, including punctuality.
