Structural Engineer; Entry-Level

Position Overview

At Coffman Engineers, we serve as both prime consultant and sub consultant on projects ranging from commercial and retail to institutional, government, and industrial. Incorporated in 1979, we have employees in over 23 locations across the United States and overseas. We integrate many disciplines – including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, and corrosion control – to meet client objectives and create effective project teams.

Coffman Engineers is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer for our Spokane office. Serving Washington, Oregon, and Idaho with potential opportunities across the U.S., the successful candidate will be an independent, self-motivated, energetic team player ready for a challenging and rewarding role within our dynamic and progressive firm.

Salary: $70,000 - $81,000 per year
Location: Spokane, WA

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibilities: Perform structural design calculations and engineering tasks on diverse projects and collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure project success.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A four-year degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience Required: 0-3 years of experience in the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
• Exceptional leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
• Experience working as part of a multi-discipline design team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering.
• Registration as an E.I.T.
• Experience with the Spokane market and clientele.
• Familiarity with computer software programs and analysis systems such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, MathCAD, ETABS, and Revit.
