Medical Assistant (Bilingual Spanish) based in Tampa, FL 33612 – At ClareMedica, exceptional is the standard. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide ancillary clinical support by taking vital signs, recording patient history, and preparing patients for examinations.
  • Assist providers in patient examinations, therapeutic measures, and routine screening tests.
  • Monitor physiological measurements and report any changes in patient conditions.
  • Request and coordinate radiographic and laboratory studies as directed.
  • Manage and generate accurate medical records and handle patient telephone communications.
  • Provide health education and coaching to patients to support healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Maintain clinical areas and equipment in line with OSHA, HIPAA, and company guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, or similar role (or documented clinical rotation training).
  • Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards.
  • Adherence to Infection Control, Standard Precautions, and OSHA standards.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with a typing speed of at least 40 WPM.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Willingness to travel locally and/or regionally up to 10% as needed.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved training class for Medical Assistants.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Experience working with geriatric patients.
  • Prior experience with HIPAA and AHCA guidelines.
  • Healthcare experience and familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish) are a plus.
