Job Description
Position Overview
Glumac, a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Commissioning Agent to join our world‐class Data Center Commissioning Team. In this hybrid/remote role based in the United States—with up to 50% travel—you will ensure that data center systems and components are installed and operate as intended through comprehensive field functional testing, checklist development, documentation, and quality assurance measures. You will work both in the office and on site, contributing to building performance, energy efficiency, and overall project success. Salary: $80,000 - $110,000
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the commissioning process for assigned data center projects.
- Conduct field functional testing, create checklists, document test results, and maintain issue logs and reports.
- Participate in meetings and support project management tasks while following internal procedures and industry standards.
- Ensure safe work practices and pursue ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience Required: Minimum 2+ years of industry experience and 2+ years in data center commissioning, operations, or construction.
- ANSI/ISO accredited commissioning certification is required for Commissioning Authority.
- Strong technical knowledge of data center MEP system design and operation, controls, and instrumentation.
- Proficiency in project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Exceptional client-facing and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment with a strong commitment to safety.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications
- PE license, Energy Management, or TAB certifications.
- Electrical systems commissioning experience.
- Experience managing QA/QC processes.
- Military service experience in maintaining, operating and/or testing power systems, including nuclear, battery, steam generation, hydroelectric, or medium voltage distribution; as well as commissioning, testing, or quality assurance of medium voltage power systems.
