Position Overview
At CHA Consulting, Inc., we are dedicated to creating sustainable infrastructure solutions. As a Bridge Design Build Project Manager joining our Infrastructure – Bridge Team in one of our offices (Boston, MA; Burlington, MA; Providence, RI; Hartford, CT; Norwell, MA), you will oversee bridge replacement and repair projects from conception to completion. You will work directly with DOT clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with innovative design-build techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver bridge replacement and repair projects within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Manage overall client relationships, including technical, financial, and logistical aspects.
- Utilize advanced design-build and accelerated bridge construction (ABC) techniques to reduce costs and minimize road closure impacts.
- Lead project review meetings and collaborate with operations to implement strategic market plans.
- Mentor project teams, setting vision and strategy while balancing a “seller/doer” role.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering;Professional Engineer License (PE)required.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience and at least 8 years in project management.
- Experience with MassDOT, CTDOT, and/or RIDOT and strong design-build expertise.
- Advanced proficiency with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.) and MS Office.
- Solid understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and relevant laws.
- Proven leadership skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing proposals, project plans, closeout documents, and managing project accounting processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Active participation in a professional engineering society/organization.
- Knowledge of Deltek Vision, and familiarity with MS Project and/or Primavera P6.
Benefits & Perks
- Salary Range:$131,000 - $161,500 – Compensation is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty training, and fair market evaluation.
