Position Overview
TheHome Loan Consultant Programis a training pathway to becoming a customer-focused Loan Advisor and sales professional within the Call Center department. Employees provide high quality service by assisting potential and current customers in selecting the best mortgage options while taking ownership to resolve issues and meet customer needs upon obtaining the necessarystate mortgage originator licenses. In this role, you will handle both inbound and outbound calls through various marketing tactics with a focus on providing excellent financial solutions and customer service.Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Passing theSAFE examand obtaining the requiredstate mortgage originator licenses.
- Obtaining and/or maintaining applicable state andNMLSlicensure, or renewing the NMLS license as required.
- Analyzing applicant information to determine qualification for beneficial loan programs.
- Assisting customers in discussing financial objectives and, once licensed, taking the initial loan application.
- Clearly communicating loan program terms, benefits, and the overall loan process.
- Ensuring timely return of all required documents and signed disclosures.
- Following the sales process and QA requirements to remain compliant, including meetingSales KPI’s.
- Responding promptly to customers’ needs and expectations.
- Demonstrating excellent communication skills by being clear, concise, and professional.
- Eagerly developing knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintaining a professional image in line with company policies and procedures.
- Flexible schedulingis required (including weekends and late nights).
- Complying with all company policies and procedures and maintaining regular, punctual attendance.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States (foreign nationals requiring sponsorship are not eligible).
- High School Diploma required.
- At least one (1) year of mortgage sales experience as a bank loan officer or in a similar role.
- Must pass theNMLS SAFE examwithin the first 30 days of employment.
