Position Overview
We are Hiring a Practice Manager for Department of Radiology! Location: Louisville, KY, Downtown Campus. Schedule: Hybrid Schedule Opportunity, Full Time Days. UofL Hospital, an academic teaching and research hospital, is at the heart of the Louisville metro area in downtown Louisville. UofL Hospital offers a second-to-none cancer center, world-renowned trauma team, and a uniquely streamlined, nationally accredited stroke center. UofL Hospital is the only adult Level I trauma center in the region. The trauma center admits more than 3,000 patients each year, including 1,500 patients a year who live outside Jefferson County and its surrounding counties—making it a resource not only for Louisville residents but also for people throughout Kentuckiana. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the physician practice.
- Oversee routine business and clinical functions through administrative and clinical staff.
- Ensure maximum utilization of resources and efficient delivery of services.
- Develop and oversee implementation and administration of internal practice policies and procedures.
- Meet business and financial goals as well as goals for patient and employee satisfaction.
- Prepare, recommend, and monitor clinic budget, goals, and objectives.
- Track and reconcile annual expenses, and monitor financials to explain budget variances.
- Approve ULP invoices and travel in Premier accounts payable system.
- Prepare physician special payroll utilizing Qgenda reports.
- Manage hospital contract billing to ensure timely collections.
- Manage provider enrollment for all Radiology providers.
- Participate in the planning and development of policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensure, compliance, and accreditation requirements.
- Act as the liaison between the practice and Central Billing Office.
- Analyze and organize data from daily radiology reports to ensure appropriate billing.
- Assist Director of Clinical Operations and Diagnostic Radiology Chair with long-range plans.
- Establish work procedures and standards to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities and modifying activities as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business Administration or related field with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration preferred.
- Clinical certificate/license (CCMA, LPN, RN…) preferred.
- One year of work and supervisory experience in practice management required.
- Advanced Excel experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field with an emphasis in Healthcare Administration preferred.
- 3 - 5 years practice management or practice administrator experience preferred.
- Effective working knowledge of healthcare financial management, specifically medical practice accounting, third party reimbursement issues, patient flow and facilities management.
