Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join Pond’s growing Professional Design Services team, located in select Pond offices or as a Remote Employee. In this role, you will lead the design of mechanical systems (including HVAC, plumbing, and piping), mentor junior MEP engineering professionals, support proposal efforts, and oversee design stages from concept to construction documentation. This position offers opportunities to broaden your knowledge across multiple markets and geographies while growing professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Mentor and support junior-level MEP engineering professionals.
• Support proposal efforts and client interfacing.
• Collaborate on projects spanning multiple markets and geographies.
• Manage design stages from concept plans to construction documentation.

Required Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
• 5+ years of related MEP experience.
• Proficient with software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.
• Experience mentoring and training employees.
• Experience leading projects, supporting proposal efforts, and interfacing with clients.
• Ability to work well within a team environment, maintain a positive attitude, multi-task, and produce high-quality work.
• Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.

Preferred Qualifications

• PE license is a strong plus; EIT certification preferred with plans to obtain a PE license in the near future.

• Compensation: Starting base pay of $75,900.00 - $116,000.00, subject to scope, location, skills, and experience.
