Job Description

Position Overview

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is seeking a full-time Help Desk Support Technician with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to work at our Headquarters in White Plains, NY.Compensation: $45,000.00/year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serving as the primary help desk contact and successfully respond to and close tickets in a timely fashion.
  • Installation, operation, maintenance and support of Information Systems and voice and data communication.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving equipment and communications malfunctions; performing routine operations including periodic report generation and system backup.
  • Assisting in problem resolution of infrastructure issues with the Network Administrator and/or the IS department.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent Associate degree and have relevant computer training or A+ certification and at least 1 year of computer hardware and software maintenance/support experience.
  • Experience working with computer hardware, printers and basic network equipment.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel at all sites in Westchester County.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent user support to all staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, is required.
