Position Overview
Droplet is a fast-growing software company dedicated to transforming traditional paper processes into streamlined digital workflows. We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive (AE) to join our small but mighty K12 sales team. This hybrid role, based near our Lehi, UT office, is dedicated solely to driving new business and generating revenue. With clear targets over a designated US territory and the autonomy to own your success, this position is tailor-made for an accountable, creative problem solver with a "work hard, play hard" attitude. Location: Lehi, UT. Schedule: Hybrid (4 days onsite per week). Salary: $80,000-$150,000 USD.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CEO and sales team to achieve sales and growth targets
- Own the sales efforts for a territory of US school districts and education agencies
- Source contact information from websites using a range of sales enablement tools
- Conduct cold-calling to source potential clients
- Manage cold email campaigns and draft personalized emails to target accounts
- Schedule and conduct discovery calls and demos
- Demo product, communicate value props, and overcome objections
- Build relationships and guide clients through the entire sales process from discovery to close
- Contribute to the development of processes and playbooks for future sales hires
- Track activities and maintain an accurate pipeline in our CRM
Required Qualifications
- 1-2+ years of K12 AE work experience (selling to IT and/or finance personas preferred)
- Office-based work in Kiln Lehi, with a minimum of 4 days per week onsite
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas
- Highly motivated and results-driven with a desire to be the best
- Proficient in enterprise prospecting, including cold calling and cold emailing
- Effective at identifying customer needs and aligning with our value proposition
- Strong organizational skills with experience in relationship and opportunity management
- Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset
- Willing to travel 10-15% of the year for on-site visits and trade shows
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sales tech stack: Salesforce & Outreach
- Familiarity with company tech stack: Apple MacBook (provided), Slack, G Suite
- Experience managing a K12 territory across one or more US states (please specify which states)
- Experience demoing technical, enterprise products
