Job Description

Position Overview

Environmental Resources Management, Inc. is hiring an Entry Level Graphic Designer for a hybrid role near our offices in Cleveland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Boston, Washington D.C., Houston, or Rolling Meadows. In this client-facing position on our Change and Transformation team, you will support sustainability communications by collaborating with art directors, creative director, graphic designers, project managers, and consultants on projects that include sustainability reports, change management campaigns, digital dashboards, and branding systems. This is a great opportunity for a junior professional looking to work on innovative Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) projects for a wide range of Fortune 500 and privately held clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide graphic design support on client sustainability communications including reports, websites, identity systems, stakeholder engagement materials, digital dashboards, proposals, and presentations.
  • Consult with client teams and directly with clients on creative, engaging ways to leverage digital communications.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships both internally and externally.
  • Research and report on design trends to support ERM’s Visual Communication Design community.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design/Visual Communications (or equivalent).
  • Recent graphic design graduate up to four years of professional experience.
  • Exceptional portfolio showcasing print, interactive, and branding work.
  • Experience in multi-page document and editorial layout design (e.g., annual/sustainability reports, brochures, magazines).
  • Superior understanding of typography, page layout, and UX/UI design for digital experiences.
  • Extreme attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Proficiency in Mac OS, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD), Microsoft Office, and working knowledge of CSS and HTML.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with environmental, social, or economic aspects of sustainability.
  • Consulting industry experience providing services to large corporate clients.
  • Experience with digital accessibility for websites and PDFs, Workiva and InDesign integration, and Monday.com project management.
  • Skills in video and animation production, illustration, retouching, or 3D rendering.
  • Experience managing social media on major platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).

  • Compensation: Annual base pay of $45,000 - $55,000 (USD) with an annual discretionary performance bonus.
