As the Manager, B2B Marketing Operations, you will join the B2B Digital Operations team to support the design and execution of marketing automation strategies. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop, launch, and optimize data-powered campaigns that drive growth and enhance the partner experience.
Salary: $116,500.00 to $163,000.00 with potential to increase up to $186,500.00 based on performance. Location: Seattle.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal marketing stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear briefs for technical teams and marketing systems owners, ensuring Marketo, Salesforce, and related tools can deliver on those requirements.
- Create and manage automated, multi-touch prospect and customer lifecycle programs (campaigns and journeys), including build, QA, launch, and ongoing optimization.
- Partner with technical and data teams to review and validate data structures (including custom objects and JSON payloads) to support campaigns, segmentation, and personalization.
- Contribute to the design of data flows and field mappings between Marketo and other systems for accurate routing, reporting, and attribution.
- Manage process design and documentation by identifying, designing, and documenting scalable workflows, SLAs, and standard operating procedures.
- Support data migration projects and system updates/changes, ensuring business requirements are met and data validation is performed accurately.
- Provide strategic recommendations on marketing automation best practices, campaign design, audience strategy, and operational feasibility.
- Ensure on-time, high-quality execution of automation projects and campaigns by collaborating with campaign owners to test, troubleshoot, and optimize performance.
- Monitor campaign performance, operational metrics, and data quality, and surface insights to improve conversion, engagement, and efficiency.
- Maintain and evolve Marketing Operations documentation including campaign templates, naming conventions, workflow diagrams, and process guides.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Marketo administration experience in a B2B tech environment, with strong working knowledge of Salesforce.
- Demonstrated experience building, cloning, and optimizing Marketo programs and nurture streams, including smart campaigns, smart lists, and tokens.
- Familiarity with Marketo Custom Objects and their use in segmentation and personalization, including understanding object relationships and fields.
- Ability to read and analyze JSON data structures used in integrations and data pipelines, ensuring payloads support campaign requirements.
- Strong understanding of database structure, data hygiene, and lead management, including normalization and deduplication principles.
- Experience collaborating on data integration projects involving Marketo (APIs, webhooks, batch imports), defining marketing requirements, and testing data flows.
- Experience with Velocity scripting or similar approaches to dynamic content is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret marketing performance data and funnel metrics, translating insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of cross-functional collaboration across marketing, sales, and technical teams.
- Experience working within a matrixed organization; previous consulting or agency experience supporting multiple stakeholders is a plus.
