Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, and report contract audit assignments related to procurement and contracting activities between the Federal Government and contractors.
  • Prepare working papers and analyze contractor data using automation tools.
  • Execute assigned audit steps including tests and examinations of contractors’ direct labor and material costs.
  • Review reports, records, ledgers, and other documents against invoices, receipts, payroll slips, and related source documents.
  • Verify the appropriateness of charges for materials and labor, ensuring transactions are properly recorded.
  • Maintain audit working papers by preparing schedules, summaries, and reconciliations as required.
  • Collaborate with team members, provide status updates on audit assignments, and suggest program or procedural improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or a related field (Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration) with at least 24 semester hours of accounting (may include up to 6 hours in business law).
  • Minimum GPA of 2.95.
  • No certifications required; no CPA needed.
  • Resume must not exceed 2 pages.
