Position Overview

Join Marathon Petroleum Corporation as a Mechanical Engineer at a Marathon refinery. Key Responsibilities

• Familiarize yourself with industry codes, best practices, and refinery operations.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to support project scopes, estimates, and schedules.
• Oversee design efforts and assist in construction as projects develop.
• Engage in reliability improvements through root cause failure analysis and equipment troubleshooting.
• Enhance your written and verbal presentation skills in a professional work setting.

Required Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program with strong academic performance.
• Authorization to work in the US on a full-time, indefinite basis without visa sponsorship.
• Valid driver's license and concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program.
• Willingness to learn about multiple engineering disciplines and project management processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Availability for multiple work terms, including spring, summer, and fall semesters.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in the energy sector is a plus.
• Military experience is considered an asset.
